Extremely friendly owners work really hard to provide a fantastic experience. The couple work as a team in the kitchen and running front of house and so their communication is spot on, providing tweeks to the menu that give customers with dietary requirements a great meal, very well done and thanks, Tom and Rie
Fabulous food and very friendly service. All the food was lovely, but the pork belly starter and the chips with my main were just outstanding. Not cheap, but for the quality the value is excellent. Very impressed, will come again.
A little gem in the heart of Eccleshall, as you go through the front door you step into an immaculate reception area. The staff are smart, helpful and well trained. Very pleasant well furnished dining room, very clean , well laid out, with a very homely feeling. We had the lunch menu, plenty of choice, and must be the best food I've had in a restaurant for ages, compliments to the chefs. When my friend asked for advice on wine selection a staff member appeared quickly and had good advice and knowledge, very impressed, our waitress was spot on as well very nice and polite, loved the place, and will definitely return.

The old smithy in stone is a lovely modern but cosy feeling pub/restaurant. Visiting for lunch, the selection of meals was plentiful and I can highly recommend the Belly Pork. The veg was beautifully seasoned and the meal as a whole was spot on. Definitely recommend a visit here.
I really couldn't speak highly enough about The Old Smithy! The food was superb, the team.... who looked after a team of 18.... could not have done more! So many trips up and down stairs, always with a smile and ensuring food turned up hot, on time and we were never without drinks! Bravo The Old Smithy
Wonderful place for Sunday lunch. Beautifully decorated. There were 9 of us and we were put on a table upstairs which was quiet and private. The staff were lovely and were up and down the stairs to check on us frequently. The food was delicious, and every plate was cleared. Wish I'd taken pics of the meals! Definitely recommend a visit.
